Wanted - Fan Graphics to Share!
I know that many of you have made graphic art - wallpapers, banners, avatars, etc - from the production photos. While we're waiting for more movie news, I thought it would be fun to post some of your work so that we could all see the talent and ideas floating around in anticipating of this movie!
If you have something you'd like to share, simple send the link (not as an attachment please, but as a photobucket or other photo sharing website link) to theshadowofthebear@ymail.com under the subject heading "SOTB Graphic Art." Once I get several submissions, I'll post them here!

Something you may find of interest...
One of my other projects is editing a magazine written by members of Regina Doman's fan forum. It is titled "Ink and Fairydust" and January's issue (belatedly released) is themed "The Shadow of the Bear." It includes an article on the movie, with a couple of previously unreleased pictures. (Including one of Mrs. Brier!)
It's also worth following because each month has an exclusive interview with Regina Doman herself! ;)

Day 22 - Dec 29th '09

Our second day of this film shoot was quite intense. We had to finish writing the fight scene (I wrote the second half on set, and our DA, Randi Jo typed it up so that Jed and Hannah could memorize their lines), AND our Mr. Freet got sick and had to cancel at the last minute! This proved to be a major blessing in disguise as we had to spent about two hours just getting the lighting right and would never have been able to shoot everything anyhow. Have you ever tried to dramatically light a huge room with reflective marble surfaces? It's crazy, I tell you!
But we got to do cool things, like make-up and blood... and finally some really dramatic contrast lighting that I've been wanting to do for awhile. Plus of course dodging bullets and crying and rolling down marble steps, which was just LOVELY for our actors. ;)

Thank you all once again for your prayers and support on this project. We had a rough day on Wednesday, as another last-minute cancellation ended up in calling-off our Thursday shoot. We're not exactly sure how we're going to get a couple of Bear's final scenes shot (he leaves for college VERY soon), and so we could use some major prayers for a miracle.

Day 21 - Dec 28th, '09

Our first scene was the dramatic fight sequence as Bear and Blanche get jumped by some druggies after Prom. Yes, we had to move it indoors because there was no way we could shoot something like this outside in the middle of the winter. However we were able to film in the basement of Northwestern College and it was pretty sweet!
Our second scene was up in the chapel, and was, of course, when Bear shows St. Lawrence's to Blanche and Rose.

Ideas Wanted!
Hello Friends!
We over here on the crew of "The Shadow of the Bear" are in a bit of a dilemma. We are preparing to film the final fight sequence in St. Lawrence church and we are trying to figure out the logistics of exactly what is going to happen.
As most of you know, we are making this film without a budget. Things like tapes and costumes are paid for out of our own pockets (Primarily the directors) and we have no money (or time at this point) to construct any sort of set for Mr. Freet to fall through. Regina has given us permission to change the structure of the scene to eliminate the floor element, so long as Bear is the one who defeats him, preferably with the help of Blanche. No coincidences, of course, and we want to keep the same feeling as the sequence in the book.
Today we realized that this would be an EXCELLENT point to canvass fan opinion. We need ideas.
They must be in consideration of our financial and time limits (we film this on the 28th of December) and we can't add any extra characters or change locations. So please don't throw out anything that would be impossible or just plain unfeasible.
Otherwise - join the fun!
