In the film world, the total raw footage from a day of filming is called the "dailies."
Saturday night I sat down with Josh (co-director) and Anthony (Fish/Assistant Cinematographer) to watch the dailies from April 3rd. The scene they were working on was between Rose and Rob and it had some beautiful acting and very funny bits of dialogue. Nice coverage over all and I'm dying to get into the editing room to start piecing it all together!
Also - sort of an update. I'm starting to think seriously about a possible Spring 2011 premiere. It could be a good time overall, especially if we could get it after everyone is out of school. So keep that in mind, if you're hoping to plan any summer trips to the Minnesota area...
Welcome to "The Shadow of the Bear" movie blog!
We are an independant young adult-run production based in the U.S. Midwest. The film has been in pre-production since summer 2008, and wrapped up filming on August 26th, 2010.
We premiered the project on June 23rd, 2011 at the St. Anthony Main Theater in Minneapolis, MN to a delighted audience of over 100 viewers.

That's so awesome!! I will definately try to make it up if I can. ::) Did you post any pictures from the 3rd?
YES if you did it after school is out!! :D *And* if you can't have it done by Christmas break 2010... Oh, thank you all for all of the hard work you're putting into this! Praying it goes well for you!
Keep up the good work! I am really looking forward to the premiere! :)
Good luck on the editing!
Yay dailies! So happy to hear that things are clocking together on this project, and that you have a potential premiere date...ish. I'll keep that whole thing in mind, assuming I've not already started up on a job by then. 'twould be cool to hike it down to Minnesota to see it with y'all.
Yay! Good work guys! I can't wait to watch it!
It would be on a weekend right? Or over spring break (that would be best *hint hint*).
So awesome to hear that things are starting rolling!!!
Where in Minnesota?
