Premiere Set!

It's official, folks!

The premiere for "The Shadow of the Bear" will be held in Minneapolis, MN at the St. Anthony Main Theater on Thursday, June 23rd, 2011.

Festivities will commence at 5:00 pm.

The cast, crew and Regina Doman will be in attendance.

Formalwear or nice dressy clothing requested.
(Girls, please no strapless dresses, deep cleavage or skirts above the knee.)

We have limited seating so tickets will be available for order ahead of time. We recommend you order as soon as we get the system set up. Tickets will be $7 a piece.

Because seating is limited, and because the movie is a PG-13 equivalent, we would not encourage children under the age of eleven to attend.

To keep track of the latest information regarding the premiere, I highly suggest that you visit our event page on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=106559492767607

Can't wait! I hope I can come, this is so cool! By the way can you add the 'share' buttons so it's easier to share your posts on other blogs. I think it might help spread the word to other fans who may not have heard of the movie but love the books.

How long is the movie?

wait, why is it rated PG-13???

It's not 'technically' rated (there are a ton of requirements for getting rated by the MPAA). However Regina has always said that SOTB is a book she would recommend for ages 14+. Since we haven't changed anything major from the book to the movie, this means that the movie will probably end up being a the equivalent of a (low) PG-13, mostly for violence, some scary/intense situations, implication of torture and ... I'm not sure what you'd call Rob's moves on Rose, but that's an element as well. You can refresh your memory as to what might be 'elements of parental concern for younger ones' at Regina's Picky Parent guide here: http://fairytalenovels.com/docs/Picky%20Parent's%20guide%20to%20Shadow.pdf

In this post you said 5:00 p.m. and on facebook you said 6:00p.m.

Which on is it?

Also, for those who are going to the Fan Festival, how will the tickets be "got", since the tickets are included in the registration price?

;) Well on facebook the event time says 5:00-10:00. We've got more than the movie planned! ;) The movie itself will probably start at 6:00, but people will need to be seated prior to that as the program will start earlier --- I'll be releasing official times for all that later. For now just think of it as 5-10.

Those who registered for the FTN Festival have already purchased their tickets and need not do so again. :)

Dear Elenatintil,
you know, your email address on here says shadowofthebear@ymail.com but I've tried emailing you and it comes back to me every time. Is it possibly "shadowofthebear@gmail.com"?

Also, can I put in an order for a DVD right now? I doubt I'll be able to make the premiere, though it sounds awesome!!!!
God bless!

Your issue would be not putting "the" in front of the address.

theshadowofthebear@ymail.com

Yahoo mail, NOT google mail.

I'm afraid it wont' be possible to order the DVD until July at the earliest.
